STEP 01
LOG IN TO SEERR
Seerr is the request portal. You'll need an account — ask Nick to set one up for you if you don't have one yet.
Getting in
- 1Go to seerr.tatertastic.org — you may be asked to log in via Cloudflare first, just use the link they email you.
- 2Sign in with the username and password Nick gave you.
- 3You'll land on the Seerr home screen showing recently added and popular titles.
STEP 02
SEARCH & REQUEST
Finding and requesting something takes about 30 seconds.
- 1Use the search bar at the top to find the movie or show you want.
- 2Click on it to open the detail page. If it's already available in the library you'll see a Watch on Jellyfin button — click that instead and you're done.
- 3If it's not available yet, click the Request button. For TV shows you can request the whole series or specific seasons.
- 4That's it. You'll get a notification when it's available.
Already in the library? Seerr shows you what's already available. If the title has a play button instead of a request button, it's already there — head to Jellyfin to watch it.

JELLYFIN
Shows up in the library
In plain English
- 1Seerr takes your request and passes it along to the right tool depending on whether it's a movie or a TV show.
- 2Radarr (movies) or Sonarr (TV shows) are automation tools that manage the library. They know what you have, what's missing, and what quality to look for.
- 3Prowlarr searches across multiple sources to find the best available version — right quality, right format.
- 4The file gets downloaded automatically and dropped into the right folder.
- 5Jellyfin picks it up and it appears in the library, usually within a few minutes to an hour depending on file size.
How long does it take? Most things show up within an hour. Popular recent releases are usually faster. Very old or obscure titles can take a little longer if sources are limited.
Not everything can be found. Extremely obscure titles or things with very limited availability sometimes can't be sourced automatically. Nick will let you know if that's the case.
