Heads up: Nick manages all the content in the library. You can browse and listen to anything that's already there, but if you want something added you'll need to ask him.
STEP 01
REQUEST AN ACCOUNT
The library is private — you need an account to access it. Getting one is easy.
- 1Send Nick an email or message with the username and password you'd like to use.
- 2He'll create your account and let you know when it's ready.
- 3You'll be able to log in at books.tatertastic.org — no app needed if you just want to listen in a browser.
Pick a real password. Don't reuse something important, but make it something you'll remember — you'll need it to log into the app too.
STEP 02
INSTALL THE APP
You can listen in a browser, but an app gives you offline downloads, sleep timers, progress sync, and a much better experience overall.
ANDROID
IPHONE / IPAD
There's no official Audiobookshelf app on iOS yet, but there are several excellent third-party options that connect to the same library.
COMPUTER
STEP 03
LOG IN & START LISTENING
Once you have the app installed, connecting it to the library takes about a minute.
- 1Open the app and look for a server address or connect to server option.
- 2Enter the server URL: https://books.tatertastic.org
- 3Log in with the username and password you chose in step 1.
- 4Your library will load and you're good to go. Your listening progress syncs across all your devices automatically.
Want something that's not in the library? Just ask Nick and he'll add it when he gets a chance.
